Previously on Fallout: New Vegas...

As tensions between the NCR and the Legion were comin' to a climax, Colonel Moore revealed to Courier Six that the Republic was shortly expectin' the arrival of the NCR president: Aaron Kimball.

Colonel Moore had rightly assumed that the president's arrival would result in an attempted assassination. Thanks to the courier's actions, Kimball was able to make his speech and depart without a hitch. The courier now looked to tie up any loose ends before carryin' on with Yes Man back in Vegas.
