Aqueous humour is a clear fluid that fills and helps form the anterior and posterior chambers of the eye. The aqueous humour consists of 99% water. The remaining 1% is enriched with essential nutrients, carbohydrates, glucose, and antioxidants. This fluid not only plays a part in "eye fluid production" but also nourishes the eye structures and ensures the eye remains fully inflated.

Glaucoma is a condition where there's an imbalance leading to elevated intraocular pressure often coupled with visual field defects. Regular eye checkups are vital, especially for those with predisposing factors such as diabetes, a high prescription for glasses, a family history of glaucoma, or anyone above 40 years of age.

In some scenarios, the clarity of the aqueous humour can be compromised due to traumatic injuries or inflammatory conditions like Uveitis or Iritis. Immediate intervention, predominantly with steroid drops prescribed by an ophthalmologist, is essential. Once the inflammation is managed, the aqueous humour regains its transparency.
