Before I begin, I explain it near the beginning of the video but saving the SD card did NOT save the battle videos, and I feel like that may only be exclusive to digital copies, maybe. Only reason I say maybe is because I remember the games knowing when you last saved, but it might work differently if it's a tourney match, maybe. So if next year uses the same games, I'll try another approach of saving the videos.

So, the VGCs are over in my area and I won 5 matches and lost 3 matches out of 9 rounds (dropped before the final round since people in top cut had a chance of being in it if they lost 2 times)

Overall, the experience was fun and most of the battles I played I think were with people that were new to the tournament as well as a few people were new to doubles format (and due to that, since I know how doubles works a bit, I usually won rounds with all or 3 out of 4 Pokemon still able to be used.

The battles I lost, the games WERE close as well as that they were also switch fests (yes, even though it's a double battle they STILL can have a lot of switching if there is a huge type advantage over the Pokemon)

The first battle I lost, I could have actually won if I hadn't made my choices for attack so quickly. Instead of using Iron Head on my Aegislash on Aerodactyl, I used Shadow Claw which DID bring it down to like... less than 25% HP iirc (but then again this was the 2nd match of a LONG day) however, if I would have used Iron Head I would have gotten a guaranteed KO, and all my Pokemon would have been faster than his (Since his Aerodactyl was the only thing going fast)

The second battle I lost was in round 6, which was a VERY good match. However at the same time, it was a very BAD match. Reason being, is because my opponent made a mistake that could have costed him the game, however a tournament rep came up to me IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MATCH, and asked me did I drop something DURING AN ATTACK as well as WHILE CHOOSING AN ATTACK (which you only have 45 seconds to do). He wouldn't even tell me what it was because it was money, which I could have checked if I was standing up, but you try checking your pockets for something as thin as paper in the middle of a VERY IMPORTANT MATCH. Either way, that screwed up my head and lost my rhythm for about 2 mins, where I think the other player had enough time to get back in gear (he didn't mega evolve Charizard is what I meant by his screw up)

ANYWAYS, when the match continued, up to turn 11 it was another switch fest battle, however we finally got to only my Aegislash (with another one of my Pokemon, forget which one) left and his Garchomp and his Scrafty. I used Shadow Claw while still in attack stance, and bring his Garchomp down to 1 HP as he claims, and take a good fair amount of damage from Rough Skin and Rocky Helmet. His Garchomp takes out my other Pokemon and Scrafty goes for the Drain Punch which doesn't hit me (probably was going for the other Pokemon) Next turn I think I actually did use Kings Shield (forget if it was the last turn or not tbh) and if that was the case the following turn he goes for the Earthquake which takes out his Scrafty and I stand with 1 HP myself. So both our last Pokemon have 1 HP left, and I go for the Shadow Claw, which sadly for me gave him the game because Rough Skin and Rocky Helmet damage makes the attacker faint first (something I didn't really realize since I never really have encountered it while the user of it is fainting) and so he won, with 0-0 Pokemon left. That was literally, one of the closest matches I have ever been in, in any battle INCLUDING against CPU and other players, EVER since if that first shadow claw would have done Garchomp in, Scrafty was already in red, even with not very effective moves against it, the thing would have gone down due to my Aegislash having like... half HP left.

The final battle I lost though, was pretty much a sweep against me since I didn't take out the Opponent's Garchomp in one hit (which I have been able to pull before, but I must have not seen the Yache Berry activate which caused it to almost faint instead) from there, Rock Slide happened, took out bother Weavile and Charizard Y (which would have been used for the Mega Mawile he had) and then from there just took me out. Didn't really stand much of a chance then.

However, if you are in a tournament match where wins matter... NEVER FORFEIT!

The video itself will explain a few other things (such as a few of the battles that I won against) but I wanted to put down here how the battles I lost against happened (since those are a bit longer in detail)
