I think you can clear this stage in 2 turns in your first play through with tier 3 units and bit of luck with potentials. I don't think it's worth the time farming diploma since item drop is purely random. It took awhile to get my first certificate on a tech unit. A group of tier 2 unit should suffice. Most of requirements are pretty standard stuff you would use in any other battle. Though, not all of them are required. It just makes the battle much easier.

Requirements
- Change Avan to tier 2 shock trooper class.
- Good shock trooper weapon for Avan
- A good level for shocktrooper class around 10-15
- Light tank with a CP cost of 1
- Have anti personal stickers and markers to increase damage

- Good tank weapon with high anti personal damage such as ace drop Cptd AA Gtlg. You can play June mission "The Impregnable APC" to earn a easy weapon. Just base rush a camp then spawn a tank to mop up the ace and boss. It can be easily done within one turn.

3I - Avan(Pre-deployed)

1. Turn 1 - CP 1 - Use Gunner in Area 1
Move to right side of map. Kill the VC2 .

2. Turn 1 - CP 2- Use Gunner in Area 1
Move your gunner forward to throw a grenade towards the commander.
**Note***If you activate one of your offensive potential buff, kill the command then capture the base

3. Turn 1 - CP 3 - Use Gunner in Area 1
Kill the command to secure the Northeast camp. Use standby command. Don't worry about the AI capturing it at the other end. All my test runs never show sign that the AI will attempting to recapturing it.

4. Turn 1 - CP 4 - Use Light Tank on Area 3
Deploy a light tank on area 3. Destroy the nearby supply vehicle. When that's done, move your light tank towards AVAN.

5. Turn 1 - CP 5 - Use Light Tank on Area 3
Move your tank a little closer to boss until your in firing range. Aim for head to deal critical damage.
***Note**** It is possible to kill him in one hit if light tank activate it's offensive buff.

6. Turn 1 - CP6 - Use light tank on area 3
If you didn't kill the boss with your last cp, do so now. After he is dead, slowly move back to Northeast base camp.

7. Turn 1 - CP7 - Use Avan in area 4
Move Avan towards the northern V2. You can avoid majority of V2 attacks by slowly moving up then hit the action command to avoid or minimize the damage. Kill him to secure the Northeast base. If you upgraded Avan's gun you can beat V2 with no problems , otherwise you have to relay on offensive buffs. Do not use standby command for Avan.

8. Turn 1 - CP8 - Use Scout Veteran in area 2
Deploy a scout on area 2. Move towards the Southeast base. You can dodge the incoming attacks by crawling on grass or take advantage of V2 slow animation speed by slowly move forward then hit action button to avoid V2 attacks. Use grenade on commando.

9. Turn 1 - CP 9 - Use Scout Vetern on Area 2
Kill commando to secure Southeast camp.
***Note*** You can prevent VC2 capturing camp if your move scout out of your base. This way you can bait them without them capturing your camp.

10. Turn 1 - CP 10 - Use Fencer in Area 1
Kill nearby commando. Move your unit closer to barricades to use stand command.

11. End Turn

12. Turn 2 + 3
The next is part is really easy. Secure all camps then kill all the incoming enemies. With all the camps secure, you can snipe your enemies by base jumping with your tank. If your lucky, you might activate one of abilities to attack again.
