A fun ACW board game where I use a mostly naval strategy to strangle the Confederacy and avoid suicide attacks against armies with much superior and overrated generals. Have a holding force in the East while using most resources in the West plus amphibious attacks against vulnerable ports to overstretch CSA defenses and cripple economy has been my staple strategy in all CW board games that I have played for decades. On to Richmond is not a good goal since Lee and Jackson will eventually appear and give you a real thrashing. There is much easier territory to conquer in order to cripple the enemy and USA has a huge advantage and can win easily if resources are used properly. Losing Washington DC is not that critical if the rest of the South is being conquered.
