This is an attempt to create "Virtual Ballistics Gel" with the aim of creating a realistic damage model for gaming. When combined with accurate projectile physics and skeletal and musculature simulation, this could move future gaming experiences from an arbitrary health bars and headshots one...

To a more organic one where it actually matters where you are hit, and what protection you are wearing. This test shows how the gel is formed from a liquid state, and the effects that gravity has upon it.

I'm an advocate for trying to incorporate as much extra realism into Virtual Reality as we possibly can, and modelling real world physics into as many games as possible seems to be the right way to approach it.
