Specifically "612W2P36_Updated_Roms_SLIC.BIN"

I would recommend, however, that you read the whole damn thing. READ IT. Know what happened. Then make your decision if you want to proceed. If you can't do that, you probably shouldn't attempt this.
If everything goes as planned, I will likely NOT have multiplier-unlocked-overclocking, as the forum post above implies, EVEN THOUGH this is a "Black Edition" cpu. I will have to do an old-school FSB overclock, I assume, if I really want to. And really, I only did this upgrade to keep me from doing a full-system upgrade which I will do EVENTUALLY. I just wanted a stop-gap to keep me occupied and have fun.
I GOT THIS CPU OFF OF EBAY. YOU CANNOT, AFAIK, BUY IT RETAIL ANYMORE. Tiger Direct used to sell them up until about 6 months ago (old stock) and I missed my chance to get a new one (at about the same price as I paid for this used one...).

Oh well.
