VT Route 9 Construction PSA Follow Up
1This video is a follow up to my PSA from Tuesday showing the road conditions as of Tuesday afternoon, there will be changes before the weekend. The changes will involve more full depth incorporation bringing more of the road surface to hard packed dirt under loose scree.
PSA for everyone riding through southern Vermont this summer Route 9 is under construction from Hogback Mountain to Brattleboro. This is significant construction including: milling, full depth reclamation, soil stabalization, re-profiling, repaving, flood mitigation, more drainage, and more. This is a hazard not just for four wheel vehicles, but especially for those of us on two wheels. Please be aware of what is going on and make sure that you're riding safe. There are parts of the road that are down to dirt and there is loose material on the surface. If you are not comfortable riding on dirt and other loose surfaces please seek alternate routes.
