The Vizier and Szaregon have been defeated. Both of them didn't pose the challenge I was hoping for. With that the Mechanicus run is complete. Playing the expansion on a higher difficulty looks pretty appealing.
Can't leave a link to the steam review so here's the whole thing:

A beautiful painting has the ability to suck you in and make you forget about the world for a few moments. A good Warhammer 40k game has the same ability but it also adds to that with an amazing music score, a crazy violent world and aesthetics that have stood the test of time.
Mechanicus is one of the better Warhammer games and a good game. The flaws are there but they are easily overlooked with the meticulous Warhammer packaging it's wearing.
The mystery behind the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Necrons is what got me hooked in the first place. Both of these races are immensely intriguing and present conflicts which are just touched upon in the game. If you are looking for a good introduction to the Warhammer universe this is a good starting point.
The gameplay is pretty straight forward - if anything, it's a bit too simple. While the exploration part might be a tad lacking, the combat is where the game shines. All of the slices, blasters, flamethrowers, mini-black holes feel great to hit. Crits have an especially juicy bite when they land.
What holds together Mechanicus is the atmosphere it's able to build. The graphics might remind you of the tabletop game but when you zoom in you'll be impressed with how good the units are looking. The sound design and the music are masterfully done. If you've heard the music and you like it - that's a good enough reason to play this.
But look, here's the thing. If you want an Ego boost this game is perfect. Even Reddit says so. Every fight gets really easy after the early-mid game. By the end game you will have control of technical gods not the scrawny Tech Priests you started with. If you are up for a something a bit more challenging pump up the difficulty to Hard.
Difficulty in video games is important. It can make or brake the game world. In a world as brutal as 40k expecting to be challenged should be a given, but that wasn't the case with Normal. You are given all the options to make the game as difficulty as you like.
If you like Warhammer 40k you'll love it and if you are looking for a cozy, tactical game, with awesome music and visuals this one will serve you well. But bare in mind Normal is just too easy. Killing bosses in one round could be fun but possibly not what you might be looking for.
