Here's the second half of Design Challenge #15 as seen from America (North and presumably South), whose theme is "Sound." That means that the microgame you submit must integrate the audio into its gameplay or have a motif of noise-making. I noticed the latter is more often picked, though you might not notice it until you actually sit down and categorize them. This is because a number of them are rhythm-based, for whom music is simply an aid. A way you can tell if something has audio in its gameplay or not is if you can still play the game with the sound turned off. If you can complete it consistently and without chance, then it has sound as its motif. If it's clearly unplayable without sound, then it's part of the gameplay.

The latter 11 microgames here are a well-organized bunch, though I have issues with a few of these too. As usual, if I don't mention your microgame i this description, then that means I was fully satisfied with it. Don't take it the wrong way; I paid attention to every microgame presented. In order of microgames as presented on the shelf:

"Sound Effect" from Mandew needs more distinctive sound effects. The objective here is to listen to the sounds each of the four buttons produces, then when an image appears, you pick the one that matches up properly. The problem here is that three of the four sound effects are crash sounds, so it's far too easy to pick the wrong button. "Hearing Test" from G-Bomber is a good example of having four sound effects that cannot be confused for ech other.

"BONGO TIME=D" from Tim needs to be slowed down a bit. While this may work great on the stylus, it's actually very difficult with the Wii Remote, even on the slowest speed.

"Silent Film" from Leiden could use a shadow over the falling object to indicate when it's about to hit the ground. I don't mind reusing that sprite of the director, but I do mind it when I'm asked to create a sound effect at the right moment and the game doesn't make clear when that right moment is.

Anyway, see you next time. The next video for WarioWare D.I.Y. I'll likely make is the next Upgrade Showcase. He is extremely prolific.
