You know, Nintendo loves to port its games cross generation-ally, but rarely does the company release the same game for two of its systems within the the span of a year.

That's the story behind Definitive 50 GameCube Game #38, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Games!

Mega Microgames!, the first WarioWare title, had been released for the GameBoy Advance just a few months earlier, when this remade version hit the Cube. The title features all of its predecessors original games, but adds new multiplayer action.

The title is a frantically paced mix of absurd, tiny, ultra-mini, microscopic microgames. One second, you'll be picking a nose, the next, you'll be curling. The game barely explains what you need to do, so you have to think fast and mash the controller faster.

Games are broken up by category: there's a sports section, a "strange" games listing, a sci-fi category, and many more. Perhaps the highlight though are the Nintendo themed games. Yep, WarioWare features a collection of mini-games cut straight from the hearts of Nintendo's own classics. Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros., F-Zero, and even the insertion of a GameBoy cartridge are all honoured.

WarioWare is, admittedly, not the prettiest game on the GameCube. The fact that it's a quick and dirty port probably explains why games are letter-boxed inside of the on-screen representation of GBA, and still look blurry.

That's not to say the game is without a sense of style, however. In fact, WarioWare is bursting with Wario-styled absurdity. The raucous animations between mini-games will keep you mesmerized. This game also features a cast of loveable weirdos who oversee each of the mini-game collections.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Games! is a blast to play, and really, that's all that matters.
