I do not have any data on this, but I would assume that if you are taking very high energy particles/vacuum and do things like using an ultracold material (which is almost never the way to go) then the differences are obviously going to be more pronounced.

You are not exactly putting all of these things into a single particle, they are all coming together into a single photon...it is hard to calculate how much energy you're putting into that one single photon, but we know that there is an energy level associated with it that is proportional to the square root of the particle volume.
