0I know that including it was probably just an Easter egg, but I'm sort of let down that finding the actual Necronomicon didn't cause some increase in paranormal activity. Something like making the spooky background noises happen more often, or having some Lovecraftian horror show up to eat my face. Independently developed and published by Andrii Vintsevych, Witch Hunt is an open world first person survival horror game set in the 18th century. Players take on the role of an amateur witch hunter as they seek to destroy the forces of evil tormenting the village of Bellville. The game focuses heavily on non-linear exploration, a wide variety of enemies, and an oppressively unsettling atmosphere.
When my family was slaughtered by demons, my heart yearned only for vengeance. The righteous path of the witch hunter was revealed to me soon after. Darkness closes in upon the town of Bellville: witches, beasts, the dead returned. Evil has taken from me all that I once held dear in this world, and with God as my witness, I will return this sentiment to them in kind.
