What if Dragon Quest XI's Opening Chapter was a Bit Shorter?

This summary seeks to tell the same overarching story, but in a fast and comedic manner. There will be deliberate omissions, misplaced emphasis, and entirely fabricated narratives through commentary. Dragon Quest XI S is an interesting game though in my opinion it's a touch long and rather slow to get going. I decided to play through the game without live commentary so that I could cobble together a highlights reel later of funny moments that still tells the story. Instead I decided to edit the game's flow a little more drastically and narrate over the top of it. This is all new territory for me so hopefully you find my attempts at humour satisfactory.
The gameplay comes from Dragon Quest 11 S, Echoes of an Elusive Age (Definitive Edition) that's available through Xbox Gamepass for Windows PC. I recorded my own actual playthrough to gather this footage so you're seeing things that genuinely happened, rather than events being forced to fit the commentary. The thing I find most striking about this game has to be the opening cinematics, their graphics are so insanely good and are honestly blockbuster animated movie quality. Seriously impressive. The rest of the game is a laid back traditional fantasy adventure, and it's relaxing to return to gaming staples such as these. Gemma also isn't as annoying as this video makes her out to be. She almost is, just not quite.
