Yes, I know. Part 5. This is quite the milestone. For most cases, a video tends not to go past three parts. But your love for this series has been well received. And to be frank, I love this story too. So that might also have something to do with it. And so, to celebrate our mutual enjoyment of this story, I plan to finish it today with one, large, MEGA VIDEO! So grab some popcorn and a blanket! Now, this story is a story about loss and reclamation. A man attempting to regain honor for his past failings and the loss of his joy. It was not a secret that the meaning behind Minato’s actions at the end of the last video were based heavily upon honor, in much a way as we had seen from Kakashi’s father, Sakumo. Both had failed their perceived mission and needed to repay with blood that which they failed to protect. But the question is, is it more honorable to live or to die? I always admired the ancient Samurai of old, their honor, and their Bushido which served as the Asian counterpart to the Knightly Code of Chivalry. But one thing I always disliked was their quickness and willingness to offer their life as retribution for failure. To me, that was not honor. That was pride, and don’t be deceived, the two are different. For so long as life remains in your body, honor is within your reach. You can do more alive than dead, for a dead person cannot love, a dead person cannot make amends, and a dead person cannot do anything but be a scar upon the hearts of others. Regardless of your life, the only dishonorable thing that you can do is to give up on it. So the mistakes of your past, whatever they are, remember they don’t define who you are, or who you’ll become. Cast them to the heavens for forgiveness and walk on down the path of honor, my noble Samurai.
