Xbox GamePass Ultimate is the world leading subscription service for Xbox consoles, PC, Samsung TV App and mobile devices that users can pay for to get access to a number of top tier games. The games are available to play just as long as you remained subscribed to the serivce or that the games stay on the platform, just like Netflix, games will be cycled on and off of the service every month, so while there are new games to play on Xbox there will be also games leaving the service. If you own and Xbox One or an Xbox Series X|S then it is certainly worthwhile getting Xbox an GamePass Ultimate subscription. Similar Services such as PlayStation Plus for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch Online to do not offer as much content.

Day One Releases on Xbox GamePass

Gamepass is incredible value considering that you get games Day One! If you are planning on purchasing first party titles from Xbox such as Gears of War, Halo Infinite, Forza Motorsport or from Bethesda, such as Doom, Wolfenstein, Starfield and others then these games come to the service day one. You might want to consider subscribing if you are planning on buying more than 2 first party titles in a calendar year as these will remain on the service. Now that Microsoft have acquired Bethesda/Zenimax media all of these games will be appearing Day One on Gamepass, likewise if the Activision Blizzard deal goes through then games such as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Tony Hawks Pro Skater and Call of Duty games will also be on Xbox GamePass!

EA Play is a separate subscription service but it is included for free when you are subscribed to Xbox GamePass Ultimate. It allows users access to a number of EA's backcatalogue as well as the opportunity to sample brand new games for 10 hours of playtime in Game Trials.

Any game on GamePass can be purchased on the Microsoft Store for a discount. Do this when a game is about to leave the service and you still want to play and own the title. There are also exclusive deals on the Store that are only available for those who subscribe to Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold. Perks are also hidden away in the app but can offer free in game skins for titles like Halo Infinite, Fortnite and Fall Guys, or free FUT coins for FIFA and more. The perks also sometimes include free subscriptions to services such as Disney + , Spotify, Paramount + and Discord Nitro.

Games with Gold

Subscribing to GamePass Ultimate also gives users access to Xbox Live Gold, the subscription service you need to play games online. Every month this service will offer anywhere from 2-4 games for free. Xbox and Xbox 360 titles are free to own, even if you stop subscribing, but Xbox One games offered via this perk will need a constant Xbox Live Gold subscription to maintain being able to play them.
