Why to consider Ubuntu

Booting in ubuntu and getting ready to use the browser takes about 42 seconds, while to do the same in the same PC with windows 7 takes about 4min and 30sec.
The main culprit for that is the low system memory (read system spects at the end of description), but why to spent money to upgrade the memory and spent even more money to buy and use windows?
You can do the job with ubuntu.
Most of the users out there use a computer for things like internet, movies, music and office applications. Those things can all be done free, easy and fast with ubuntu, even in a low end system.
So if you don't tie to windows because of games or some specific software, maybe it is time to try ubuntu on your system.
