Willow for Nes is a fake zelda. When it came out, there was a lot of demand for zelda clones especially since Zelda 2 didn't really fill that role. Back then it was pretty good, but today its flaws really shine through. Its okay.

Positives
- Best 8 second loop on the NES, and perhaps existence
- Fairly large map
- good graphics

Negatives
- Very much a "where do I go" game
- Risk/reward for enemies is bad so you avoid 75% of the game
- hit detection from enemies and damage is goofy.
- lots of spells and items but only a couple are good.
