Method 1: Temporarily disable updates
Go to windows settings - Open update & security - Click advanced options - under pause updates, select date until do want to stop updates.
Method 2: Disable windows updates using "services.msc"
Search "services.msc" - click & open as Administrator - select windows update from list - Right click - Properties - Start type choose as "disabled"
Method 3: Disable windows updates using "Group Policy Editor"
Search "gpedit.msc" - Click & open as Administrator - Select Administrative Templates - Select Windows Components - Select Windows update - Righr column, Select & double click & open Configure Automatic Updates - In the new opened window, check disabled.
Method 4: Disable windows updates using "Windows Registry Editor"
Search "regedit" - Click & open as Administrator - Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - Policies - Microsoft - Windows - WindowsUpdate - AU - DWORD (32-bit) Value
Once you done above steps, windows automatic updates will be stopped.
