Why did nobody say that back then? Because they didn't have this evil social media technology. Twitter and the like encourage outrage. They encourage you to post any negative thought that comes to your brain and when you have 60,000 thoughts per day, for sure there's gonna be a lot of negatives and you'll want to offload those on apps that reward you to do so.
