Wooden Men (Ambient Original) | Danilo Ciaffi
You step in the woods.
At first everything is calm, you can only hear the wind through the leaves.
All you can see is trees, moss, some sunbeams through the foliage, up high.
After your hears get used to the sounds, you can distinguish the noise of a brook flowing not far from you.
You follow the water.
It leads you to a place where some men live.
Despite them being inhabitants of this forest, they are no hunters.
No preys nor predators.
Death does not seem to belong this place.
These people spend their existence carving wood.
"As you shape the wood you shape yourself", they say.
For a moment you think the wrinkles on their faces resemble bark.
As they craft all sorts of things, you could tell they are infusing their soul in the wood.
You see a place where some sort of mannequins are stacked, and for a second you wonder if they will ever take life.
You look around.
You smile.
You know they will.
