working on the Goomba Gang with coins level for 3D Ray World
I had a bunch of crazy drafts for a series originally called by myself as autoscroll madness. I didn't like where most of them were going, things were weird or wild and didn't feel particularly formulaic or fair, so I abandoned a lot of those levels and reused the concept for the dash 3 levels of my superworld. IOW, the plan was to make 8 courses using the concept of AsM for 3DW specifically, and have them modeled after the maps that I constructed for the world. That would guide the direction and keep things standardized and make it easier to keep making more coin collecting levels. This was the final level in that series technically, although I suppose I could revive the series later if I wanted to. As it happens, I have been playing a lot of other games lately, and not as much SMM2 over the years, you could say that it's been hard to find people to bounce ideas off of with the viewer levels experience being worse in recent years than it was in the first half dozen or so months of the game's release. I'm hoping with SMM3 the hype for the new game doesn't die off quite so fast.
