This part of my How To Tank series actually covers something useful for all players of the game. The importance of keybinding and how to tap into your characters full potential by having all of your abilities readily bound for use.

Keybindings for my UI are

1st Bar - Z, X, C, V, B, G, R, T, W, Q, TAB, A
2nd Bar- Shift Z, Shift X, Shift C, Shift V, Shift B, Shift G, Shift R, Shift T, Shift W, Shift Q, Shift TAB, Shift A
3rd Bar- Shift S, Shift D, Shift F, Ctrl W, Ctrl E, Ctrl R, Alt W, Alt E, Alt R, Ctrl X, blank, Ctrl V

First bar should be rotational abilities that are easy to hit
Second bar should be frequently necessary abilities
Third bar should be major abilities that aren't easily accidentally hit

Gaming tools like special keyboards and mice are nice but you don't need them. I barely make use of my mouse as a raid tool and nothing more.

Important Notes-

1)ESDF movement keys, not WASD. You have better reach to your keyboard.

2)First twelve buttons should be easy to use, rotational, and are bound to your stance, presence, and form.

3)Second twelve should be more situational, still easy to reach but not easy to hit by mistake.

4)Third row should be much more situational, keybindings are harder to hit by mistake but still accessible.

5)Sidebars are used for buffs, rezzing, trinkets, knick-knacks, and in my case as a tank and raid leader, world markers.
