Back to Oval 2 and another Figure of 8 race.
This was quite interesting. The game put me 3rd on the grid but I expected the usual Fig8 carnage and the resulting 2 or 3 finishers, but it didn't turn out that way; nearly all the AI made it to the end, despite several getting well mangled.
The height of the barriers is such that, approaching the crossover, you can only just see the roofs of cars on the other half of the track, so I went for the challenge of waiting for gaps without losing too much speed. There was just one car whose back end I clipped, unintentionally. I think I spun him.
Overall, quite a clean race, although the handful of clatterings against the outside armco were of my own doing - just not sharp enough on the brakes. Had to use the handbrake a few times too.
As a point of interest, the car loses a front wing a few laps into the race. On the first replay (so I could see the camera angles) it didn't.
