Sorry XCOM fans! This is where we stop playing. The game is too unstable to play. I am to weary of reloading and replaying segments of the game because of its instability. All that time to get this far in the game, to record and edit the videos ... all wasted. So sad!

Thanks Firaxis Games for the unstable game. I had one problem with it a long time ago when it started failing to load after I had played it for awhile. A lot of people had the same loading problem. I forget now what it was, but it was a popular problem. At that time support said they didn't know what was going on and there didn't see to be an effort to fix the problem. And then suddenly, the problem was gone.

I didn't have any problems running the game after that until sometime after War of the Chosen came out. Make of that what you will. But, this isn't the only Firaxis Games property that has suddenly developed "problems" after a later sequel was released. But, I refuse to buy War of the Chosen. It just isn't my type of game.

I was going to buy XCOM Chimera Squad, but I have removed it from my wish list as of now. I will not be buying any more Firaxis Games products. I know I am only one guy, but it is one sale they no longer have.

For those fans of XCOM that might say it is my machine. It is not. I run other modern games that have just as intense requirements, if not more intense, as XCOM 2. The last suggested "fix" was to turn off my second monitor while playing the game. Sorry, I shouldn't have had to make all of the changes to the game and the way it was played to begin with. I use the second monitor to keep an eye on my recording. Not going to turn it off, and I shouldn't have to.
