In 97, Tiger decided that the cheap plastic LCD handhelds market wasn't enough and that they needed to go head to head with Nintendo's Game Boy for handheld gaming dominance. Introducing the game com (often stylized game dot com). Sporting a resistive touchscreen, internet connectivity, and some hot licenses like Duke Nukem, Resident Evil 2, and Sonic with future planned Metal Gear Solid and Symphony of the Night, the game com was easily trounced by the decade old game boy. The game com only lasted from 97-00 with a cheaper revision out in 99, but still only sold less than 300,000 units. Here we look at the entire game com library via the MAME emulator.
