84Mario Kart World is an upcoming game in the Mario Kart series set to be released alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 as a launch title worldwide on June 5, 2025. First teased during the system's "first-look" trailer on January 16, 2025,[10] the game was properly revealed in the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation on April 2, 2025. It is the sixteenth entry in the Mario Kart series, the twelfth to be released by Nintendo, the first game announced for the Switch 2, and the first new Mario Kart title since Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, released almost five years prior. It is also the first Super Mario game overall to be released for the Switch 2, the first Mario Kart game to be a launch title for its console, and the first Mario Kart game to feature Kevin Afghani's voicework
