Jaidip Mukerjea has reached the fourth round of US Championship 1962, Wimbledon 1963, 1964 and 1966, and French Championships 1965 and 1966. He was also a member of India Davis Cup team which reached final in 1966. He has won six singles titles in his career including three Asian Championships. He was conferred with Arjuna Award in 1966 for all of his accomplishments.

He was the Chief Guest of the Prize Distribution Ceremony at 3rd DD-DBCA Rating Open 2022 on 9th November. He shares his experience of playing chess and his valuable thoughts for the players and parents who won a prize at an event and also those who were unsuccessful. It goes without saying that the veteran 80-year-old Tennis legend's words of wisdom is definitely a valuable listen.
