YOUTUBE SOLD US OUT! | Youtube Partner Program Update January 2018 | Youtube Removes Monetization!
14Ok, so the Youtube Partner Program is officially going to create new requirements for small Youtubers. Youtube sold us out! You now need to have 4,000 hours of watch time within the past 12 months, and over 1,000 FREAKING SUBSCRIBERS to even be eligible for alot of the features Youtube provides. This is both a good and a bad thing. This stops people from making money on YouTube who didn't deserve it or were just doing it for money and views (cough cough Logan Paul). The Youtube Adpocalypse definitely created alot of pain for content creators for 2017, but for 2018 small Youtubers such as myself are now being targeted, I am not particularly worried. I am sure I will hit 1,000 subscribers soon enough anyway. I believe this will get rid of alot of the garbage content creators out there as I stated before. The Youtube new requirements are definitely going to be hard for a small YouTube creator. This is just my take on it in a funny, comical way, if you're serious about Youtube you don't have much to worry about, but if you're all about money then January 2018 changes to Youtube Partner Program are going to really screw you over!
