Here we test out Zapper: One Wicked Cricket on the PS2. I was expecting this to be an open world game but its actually just a very linear 3d enviroment. The story mode sets a decent scene, but right off the bat you realise this isnt going to be an easy ride.
The controls play out in the style of turn based action, where you can only move 1 space per time. The trouble is, this game isnt turn based, so it just makes it seem quite irritating having to wait an extra second or 2 each time you want to move.
Putting the terrible controls to one side, the game itself is quite well developed. Theres quite a lot of detail gone into scenery, and theres tonnes of hidden objects to locate throughout the levels. It would take quite some time to get through the whole of this game. Sadly, its not one im going to attempt to finish.
