Zelda BOTW: Defeating Calamity Ganon with only a pot lid
17In the Legend of Zelda Breath of the wild the final boss Calamity Ganon can be fought in a number of ways, but using only the weakest shield in the game, the pot lid, is a difficult challenge.
The pot lid can only take two hits before breaking, one hit from the guardian laser beam attack, or will burn up if you are lit on fire and knocked over.
There is no real difference between the first and second phases of the fight, other then in the second phase the guardian laser is used a lot easier.
When on the ground if a melee attack (sword swung down or to the side or mini arms attacking) ends while you are far away Ganon will immediately follow up with a Guardian Laser, or climb onto the wall.
While on the wall Ganon will do three attacks and then jump down. The thrown spear and mini lasers can be reflected with Perfect Guard just like the guardian laser. A word of caution on the mini lasers, there is usually one more shot after the reflected bolt that can hit you or your shield.
