Hello! My name is Patrick - I play video games and talk to myself. Welcome to PatrickPlays, where I record myself doing so.

I've always wanted to do a channel like this on YouTube, and with the release of Civilization 6, I figured there's no better time. I'm a naturally really shy, introverted person, but I'm pushing through all of that because I'm really excited to do this! I won't lie, I am mostly going to be playing Civilization on this channel, but eventually I will start some other series as well (other strategy games, Smite, Overwatch, maybe some Adventure type games like Dishonored, and possibly some indie games).

I hope to distinguish myself to you by showing you my face and not sacrificing any dialogue for time or retention or anything like that - I want to create content that you want to consume, even if my series get to be 30 videos or more! :)
