About Tor Glenn
Tor Glenn Melhus is an American singer/songwriter/musician/producer/entrepreneur born in Brooklyn, NY on Jan. 12, 1954. His parents (Torleif and Margit) immigrated from Norway in the early 50’s and met and married in America.
A full time musician and composer from 1976 to 2001, Tor Glenn took an eight-year leave from the music industry to pursue other entrepreneurial avenues of income (which had become economically necessary by 2001).
In the 80’s and early 90’s Tor Glenn was a staff writer for Warner/Chappel and A&M (Almo/Irving) and wrote songs for numerous recording artists including Regina Bell, TRIUMPH, Jack Wagner, Laura Branigan, Benny Mardones, and others. He also worked on projects with Rick Chertoff, Patty Smyth, Nick Martinelli, the Joe Jackson Band (minus Joe Jackson), and others.
Tor Glenn returned to the music world in 2010 with his self-titled album, “Tor Glenn” and has released two others since (“The Unlikely Return of Shi Lung Woo” and “Boys & Girls”)
