I guess you can call me a variety retro speedrunner, mostly DOS-games. Most of the games I run are gems I played in my youth. I came to speedrunning because I wanted to play them in a new way.

I got some retro laptops running Win95/98. They all work, but have different "smaller" issues (HDD, sound, ...).
Models: Toshiba Pro 470/480 CDT
CPU: 200 MHz Pentium MMX
RAM: 64 MB
Sound: Yamaha OPL3-SAx (SB Pro compatible)
Capturing my retro laptop(s)
To capture my laptops with Win95/98 I capture VGA & 3.5mm audio to HDMI with an adapter. The HDMI cable connects the adapter to a HDMI video capture card that I plug into my laptop via USB. It's a cheap one from BASETech (BT-VC-200). With this I can capture the signal as a video source in OBS, just like you would capture a webcam.
