About Edwards Air Force Base
The 412th Test Wing (412 TW), as the host wing on Edwards Air Force Base, manages both base facilities and the Air Force’s largest airfield. The Wing supports more than 10,000 military, federal civilian, and contract personnel assigned to the 481-square mile installation. Our workforce is eighty-percent civilian and twenty-percent military, and we host more than a dozen associate organizations.
The 412 TW conducts developmental testing of all U.S. Air Force aircraft, weapons systems, software, and components prior to their operational acceptance and throughout their lifecycle. Our mission includes flight, airfield, and range operations; maintenance; engineering; simulation; testing; and analysis.
