I poured my heart and soul into making this passion project. My goal was it, to make a game that my 14-year-old self would have loved to play and that was affordable for everyone to play. Because everybody deserves to have fun!
SMASHBALL was made in Unreal Engine 5 (EA version) and is heavily influenced by sports games like Crunchball 3000, Fifa, the Madden series, the NBA 2k series, Axis Football, and even the Codemasters Formula 1 games. For a more immersive experience, I also took inspiration from RPGs (role-playing games) like Dysco Elysium, Cube world, Gothic 2, even a bit of Skyrim and Assassins Creed, and from the little, I had seen of Stardew Valley at that time.
