This tutorial shows how to use multiple objects for the same model at different resolutions (polycount) to add levels of detail to a custom scenery object. This allows the frame rate to stay high when you are far away from objects because their level of detail will drop and then when you get closer then their level of detail will increase.

The instructions of how to do this for the Blender2MSFS plugin are found at:
https://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=Blender2MSFS#LOD_batch-export

The collections need to be named: x## so for instance

x00
x01
x02
etc

(x00 being the highest level of detail)
