Explanation: A Mii character can only store 20 bytes (10 characters) per text field, 20 bytes for its name and 20 for its creator's name. If a Mii Character is renamed, for example, with a shorter one, it'll overwrite the first bytes leaving partially left the previous ones. The remains of the previous name won't be shown as a null character (depicted in the video as "[]" as most text renderers can show it) is added at the end of the new name with the purpose to signal the end of the string, any information after the first null character the code reads won't be displayed for the player to view.
