If we were to look at the Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man merely on the surface, we probably wouldn’t have been able to do this video. On one hand, we have a giant monster fueled by rage who’s one catchphrase that seems to define the character is HULK SMASH! Peter Parker on the other hand is relatively small compared to most heroes, spouts out more one-liners than any other hero (although Deadpool might be closing in on his trail) and rarely shows intense anger. But when you look beneath the surface, you’ll find that these two have more in common than you may realize. It could be that the same writer has made massive contributions to both their histories, or the origins of their powers or maybe even their deals with devils. Oh yeah, we’re going to go there. Peter Parker’s is WAY worse , but we’ll get into that later.
Currently played by Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland on the big screen respectively, Hulk and Spidey have clashed several times in the comic books. While the fights are usually inconclusive, there was one time where Spider-Man knocked the Hulk off the Earth but that was due to Spidey possessing the Power Cosmic. Besides, there was also that one time where Hulk stood still and just let Spider-Man pound on him until his hands started to hurt. They’re not fighting today though.
