1,407When it comes to video games, seeing words like “update”, “patch”, or “upgrade” usually puts players minds at rest. Generally, developers will release changes to games to either fix known issues, or to add new and exciting content to an already established title, and oftentimes, things go just as they should. Just occasionally, however, devs will completely screw the proverbial pooch and drop a patch that completely messes everything up, either by adding an unwanted feature, fixing one thing whilst simultaneously breaking another, or bricking the game entirely. Usually, this results in some severe back-peddling on the part of the developer, though sometimes gamers are just left to put up with the consequences of the devs’ failure to test things properly.
