People often draw comparisons between video games and films, mainly due to the cinematic presentation of games such as Uncharted and the waking nightmares that Quantic Dream creates. However, games may actually be closer to books than people realise. Like books, their length allows more room for world building and their hands-on nature offers a more personalised experience, as well as an ability for the audience to dictate the pacing.
