1111: Input Lag (PS4) - Darius Cozmic Collection vs Arcade Archives Darius: both 1 frame delay
Very rough comparison of input lag on my set-up--which includes a Hori HRAP V 2017 arcade stick, a 4x2 component matrix switcher, an OSSC, a 5ms display lag monitor, and an original stock PS4--between the "Extra" revisions of Taito's arcade shooter Darius in M2's recent Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade and Hamster Corporation's Japan-only (for PS4) release of Arcade Archives Darius.
On a computer, if you're playing this video at 60 fps, you can pause playback, then advance one frame at a time by pressing the "." key, and count along with me the frames that go by between the arcade stick's non-autofire shot+bomb button being fully pressed down, and the shots beginning to come out of the ship--just make sure the video playback quality is at a 60 fps setting in your YouTube player.
I counted just 1 frame of delay for both versions--amazingly responsive! Although really all I can say from this crude test is that on my system, measuring with simple tools, I can't tell any difference between their response times. This is NOT a scientifically accurate test with super-speed cameras, wired diodes, and so forth; it's really just a rough comparison between games on my particular hardware configuration. My comparisons usually line up pretty well with the professional testing sites, though.

3:40 - Hamster Darius inputs
This comparison gave me newfound respect for Hamster's technical chops; the last time I compared a conversion of theirs with one of M2's--it was their PS4 ACA NEOGEO The King of Fighters '96 vs M2's PS3 NEOGEOSTATION The King of Fighters '96--M2 had them beat by two frames: https://youtu.be/hT1uEUFcTfA
I wasn't even sure prior to this that a PS4 could respond in just 1 frame. = ooo I did count 2 frames for both versions some of the time, but mostly 1.
A tie didn't help me decide which version to play, so in the next video I go on to compare their sound reproduction and options.
Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade is on sale on the PS Store for $17.99 until the 21st.
Whoa some coincidence my episode 1111 turned out to be about 1 frame delays. = oo
I recorded the video on my Google Pixel 3a phone, with its Camera app set to 60 fps recording.
Note to self: reprocess these vertical cell phone videos in Any Video Converter; results in a larger file but YouTube will show that version at 1080p60, whereas it only shows the camera's original version at up to 480p60. And just set a manual thumbnail to clear YouTube's sidebar mirroring.
