While the D.C. universe is filled with innumerable comics, live-actions, animated series and so on, the studio had taken things a step further by exploring possible stories that take place outside the DC Universe canon. In 1989, they introduced a new publication imprint called Elseworlds, which was dedicated towards exploring alternate realities that deviated from the mainstream DC universe continuity. These stories placed popular heroes such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in uncanny situations and raised many ‘what if’ scenarios that eventually took the form of a full-fledged comic series. Today, we will be exploring some of the most intriguing Elseworld stories of the lot, and tell you all about these gems that deserve their own live-action!
