The Prussian Blücher sabre was a modified version of the famous 1796 pattern light cavalry sabre.

Update: The markings indicate that this was issued to one of the artillery corps, probably horse artillery given that it's a cavalry sabre. I'm not sure of the manufacture date as it doesn't look like these were being produced as late as 1871 - possibly the blade was mounted on a new handle and re-marked?
