198X (2019, Nintendo Switch) No Commentary Gameplay

I saw the trailer for this game a few days ago and felt compelled to get it. It’s a nice mix of various game styles coated with some late 80s early 90s nostalgia. It feels pretty moody and it appears to be trying to begin telling a story but honestly, it feels more like the beginning of an amazing game than an amazing game it in its’ own right. I believe it was a kickstarted game so with that in mind I understand there’s only so much they could do. I look forward to a sequel to see the story actually develop somewhere. It’s a fun hour or so of play.
