Here is two different easy ways to grab the Somaria Cane without having to worry about the floor falling to pieces, giving you plenty of time to make it to the Big Chest.

One way Requires the Lamp while the other way is faster if you already having the Big Key from the Castle.


Tip:
Be careful pushing the blocks because you can go through them if you keep pushing, so let go once the block starts moving.
You could trap yourself in there.

Extra Tip:
You don't have to go outside to get to the other side of the Castle, you can go through the East side inside the Castle to do them as well.
