2-Hour Stroyent Processing Creature Room Ambience!
3My first ambient video for Quake 4 in what has clearly been a long time no doubt as in the last ambient video for this game I highlighted the ambiance of the Strogg Medical Facility. This time, however, I am instead showing ambiance from the Putrification Center map, specifically, from the room where the grotesquely obese Stroyent Processing Creature is located. Hence this video's name and thumbnail.
The Putrification Center as well as the map afterward, and the waste processing facility are some of my favorite levels in this entire game as it has the much more grungy, and rusted look I more or less typically associate with the Quake games. The Stroyent Processing Creature is one of my favorite characters in this game as well because I love how he is these again overly and excessively obese biomechanical monster with these hideous-looking physical features and personality as it really perfectly exemplifies just how body-horror The Strogg really are. The Stroggs would probably also have to be my absolute favorite enemy alien races in all of videogame history as well because I just love how grotesque they are as these bent and twisted amalgamations of flesh, skin, and bone with metal and wires. This to me also makes them just so utterly terrifying as well because you are forced to imagine what if I became a strogg after being captured by them. Wow, horrifying thought indeed.
