20. The Effects Of MIcrogravity On The Body
So let's get the elephant out of the room, shall we? The biggest difference between living on Earth and living in space full-time is that space doesn't have gravity. Or in the case of the people on the International Space Station, it has Microgravity (meaning that it's a very small fraction of gravity compared to what is on Earth).

19. HD 189733b

HD 189733b is one of the strangest planets in existence and features a feat that no one likely thought possible, likely, or even desired. For you see, this is a planet that rains glass...sideways.

No, this is not a trick, or something seen in a sci-fi movie or TV show (though some have featured things similar to this). It is a real planet, and it really does this. I'll explain how. The glass itself comes from the atmosphere, which has a high concentrate of silica, a component very common on Earth.

Glad you don't live there, right?

18. Rogue Planets

There are all kinds of planets in the universe, and the people of NASA and beyond like to discover the new planets whenever they can. But do you know about Rogue Planets?

These are planets that were once part of a solar system like we have. But then, something happened to the planet, or the sun, or another event transpired in their system that literally kicked the planet out of its suns gravity!

16. The Days and Years of Venus
I'm sure all of you know about our dear sister planet, Venus. At one time, it was believed to be the best place for us to colonize outside of Earth, but we've come off that idea, and for good reason. Including its rotations in the daily and yearly scales.

15. Black Holes
Believe it or not, black holes are EVERYWHERE in the universe, some are even the size of a single grain of sand. But what makes them really special is that it's believed that they're in the center of EVERY galaxy out there in the universe. Which means there are countless millions of them in space.
It's even said that there are tens of thousands of black holes in the center of the Milky Way galaxy itself.
14. Eclipses
One of the most interesting things about space is that sometimes objects are able to block other objects, creating an eclipse that is really cool to see. The one that we get to observe several times in our lifetimes is the moon and the sun eclipsing each other.
13. Mountain on Mars.
In our solar system, there are many mountains. But the biggest one of them is on Mars in the form of Olympus Mons. Just how tall is Olympus Mons? That would be a staggering 13 miles tall. In case you're curious about a comparison...Mt. Everest is 5.5 miles tall give or take.
12. The Price Of Going Into Space
Here's one that'll get your jaw to drop. A spacesuit of an astronaut? It costs $12 million dollars currently. 70% of that? Is for the control module and the backpack that astronauts wear in order to keep their suit functional.

Space...it's really, really...pricey.

7. Moonquakes
There have been a lot of theories about things that happen on the moon, and many of them are bunk. But the idea of moonquakes isn't just real, it's proven. These seismic shifts do indeed happen on the moon, and they're even noted to happen very close to the center of the satellite.

4. Robots on Mars
Pop quiz, how many exploration rovers do we have on Mars in part or in whole? The answer to that, is 6. Which is likely a few more than you were expecting.
But given that we're trying to get to Mars this decade, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that we're trying to learn a lot about the planet.
3. The Sun and Earth
Part of the reason our solar system works is the size of the sun and the distance we are from it. But how many Earth can fit into our sun? Try over 1.3 million.
2. Moon Rocks
If you've ever wondered why the moon rocks we got from the various Apollo missions are so important, it's because they teach us things we didn't expect. Including the fact that moon rocks erode a LOT slower than ones on Earth.
To that end, the footprints left by the original astronauts on the moon aren't likely to go away anytime soon.
