This video is an up-to-date guide on how to connect your Oculus Quest to your PC wirelessley using ALVR or Air Light VR. You can play games from the Steam VR library without the need for any cables or wires, and it's absolutely free! Sideload ALVR using SideQuest and you can be playing Steam games within minutes.

As long as you have a decent wireless home network this app works well. There can be lag from time to time, and there is a small delay in responsiveness, but I find everything very much playable and nothing beats wireless freedom to play Steam VR without having to spend a dime!
