2021 Fiat 500X & 500 Yachting | Fiat's compact SUV loses its roof for the first time.
Italian marque Fiat has taken the covers off limited-edition ‘Yachting' variants of its 2021 Fiat 500X small SUV and 2021 Fiat 500C hatchback.
The duo are headlined by soft-top retractable sunroofs – already fitted to the 500C, but all-new for its bigger 500X sibling – plus metallic blue exterior paint, chrome trim, and custom badging on the B-pillar and front quarters. The 500X appears to be fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, while 16-inch alloys come standard on the smaller 500C.
Inside, both cars' cabins are trimmed in white leather. Images suggest the 500C will be fitted with an automatic transmission and a cream-coloured dashboard, while the 500X will benefit from a manual gearbox and mahogany trim.
Drivetrain specification are not yet known, however the 500X will likely derive power from a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. A 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder mill is expected in the 500C.
CarAdvice has contacted Fiat Australia for comment on local availability of the new model variants – though a local launch for the 500X is unlikely, given the model has been axed from Australian showrooms.
When it was last offered in Australia, the standard Fiat 500X was priced from $24,990 before on-road costs in entry-level Pop guise. The Fiat 500C is currently priced from $25,250 before on-roads in its most affordable Lounge form.
